Back again!
I wanted to continue to let you know a little bit about my life as a "wedding freak!"
As I mentioned in my first blog, I started in the wedding business when my mom was a caterer and then I got married and decided to investigate having a business.
My husband, Gary, was laid off and ended up going to the Iron Range area (past Duluth up north in Minnesota) and worked in that area for a while. He was staying in our large van and I decided to go up for a while. I was bored (as usual) so I went to a class that taught flower making, petal by petal as a craft item. We made a corsage and I thought, "I can do this for a business!".
When I got home I went to a class on "starting your own business" and had an assignment to go to the library to research starting a business. I happened upon an organization called ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants). It was October and I contacted the person in charge and was told they were having a convention in Chicago in November. Gary and I went and that was the beginning of my "professional" career.
